Tenerife

Tenerife is one of the islands of the Canary Islands. The Canary Islands are situated in the Atlantic Ocean south of the European continent.
The Canary Islands is part of Spain and the language spoken in Tenerife is Spanish.
Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and the island with the largest population among the Canary Islands.
The Canary Islands have a volcanic origin and because of their geographic location you will find a warm and summer like climate all year.
That is one of the reasons why many tourists travel to Tenerife to enjoy the sun and weather in Tenerife, both in summer- and wintertime.

Tenerife Weather

The weather in Tenerife is warm. In the summertime the average temperatures in Tenerife are at 26º-30º C and we have 11 hours of sun each day.
Tenerife never get as high temperatures as in the rest of southern Europe in summer. It’s therefore ideal for families with kids and +60.
In the wintertime the temperatures in Tenerife are about 20º-22º C and in the south of Tenerife we have around 6 hours of sun each day in the winter months.
The water temperatures in Tenerife are roughly the same all year round at approximately 21º C.

Each year several millions travel to Tenerife on holiday and they enjoy the great variation in the scenery, nature parks, attractions, the beaches and other Tenerife sights.
La Gomera is one of the other nearby Canary Islands, situated to the west of Tenerife, this island is known for its beautiful nature and it is perfect for hiking.
The volcano Teide is the highest point in Spain and is to be found in the middle of Tenerife. The volcanic terrain, at the foot of the volcano, in the valley Valle Ucanca is indescribable.
The traditional festivities and carnivals in Tenerife are also one of the reasons for the many tourists in Tenerife and both tourists and the local population take part in the carnival. The streets are filled with celebration, colors and music.
